Disclaimer: I own nothing. I mean, I keep begging and pleading, but Joss just won’t budge. What’s a girl to do?
She wanted to be bad. She was tired of being the good girl; the one responsible for saving the world. She was also tired of being the strong one. For once she wanted the option of being the one who could fall into someone’s arms and have them make it all better.

Xander was having a hard time breathing as he held Buffy in his arms, her back to his front, and he nearly choked on his own tongue as she began to rotate her hips against him. His mind searched desperately for a witticism to get him out of the precarious situation, but he could think of nothing but the way it felt to have her body pressed up so tightly against his.

Buffy felt a jolt of fear shoot through her as his arms tightened around her and she turned to look at Xander, smiling dangerously. She couldn’t let him get close, not ever again. It would be too easy for him to get hurt that way. But she also couldn’t let him see that she was afraid—so she leaned in and whispered a few choice words in his ear before she laughed and walked away, not once shedding her mask of indifference.

Xander watched her go, his heart pounding and his knees weak. He didn’t know what was going on, but he knew it was bad. That dance had forever changed his perception of her, though he didn’t know it yet. He now knew just how dangerous the Slayer could be when threatened—and it was a lesson he would carry with him for the rest of his life.
